Courtyard targets frequent business and leisure travelers alike. Having this in mind the styling has to be modern and sophisticated. However it still has to take on the local touches of the urban surrounding to make it a characteristic space for customers to remember. Each hotel has its particular theme, which is mostly shown through its architecture and which we take on for our styling inspiration and when sourcing appropriate decor. The exterior and interior of this completely transformed 1970s tower takes its inspiration from the history of its neighbourhood, such as its craftsmanship and colourful houses in Rue Crémieux as well as its nearby train-station. We had to style the public and business areas. Each meeting room decor was inspired by local places as well as destinations that can be travelled to from nearby Gare de Lyon.The items we picked were sourced mostly locally from craftsmen, ateliers and markets.
